Sanity check

Official estimates peg India at ~1.3–1.5 beds per 1,000, i.e. ~1.8–2M beds counting every facility type. Our demand-side 1.4M is the same order of magnitude and deliberately conservative — underutilized rural public beds sit below our 55% occupancy assumption. (WHO recommends 3 per 1,000, so India's shortage is real.)
